  • With more than 95 million customers visiting our stores every year, we operate 4 main distribution centres in the country with a fleet of more than 500 temperature-controlled trucks to deliver over 30,000 SKUs of food and non-food products to our stores.

Our Milestones

  • Panda opened its first store in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. 

  • Panda merged with Azizia Company and formed Azizia Panda United.

  •  Savola Group acquired Azizia Panda United, which boosted Azizia Panda United's growth and expansion, making Panda the market leader in Saudi Arabia.

  • A new format of hypermarket was introduced in Riyadh named 'Hyper Panda’.

  • Panda launched the initiative of 'Leave the Change for Them' that aims to encourage customers to leave the remainder of their purchase transactions for the benefit of disabled children in the Kingdom.

  • Panda merged with Giant Stores to take leadership in the whole Saudi market in main cities and regions.

  • Panda reached yet another milestone by expanding its hyper format footprint with the acquisition of all Geant stores in Saudi Arabia.

  • Panda Retail Company became the new name and identity for Azizia Panda United.

    • Panda Retail Company expanded geographically to operate stores outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and opened its first store in Egypt. 
    • Panda was honoured by King Salman bin Abdulaziz for Supporting the Construction of Panda Customers’ Tower
  • Panda introduced a newly structured transformation program to further strengthen Panda's footprint, optimize operations, and better serve Panda's valued customers.

    • Panda explored omnichannel opportunities by launching the ecommerce channel.
    • Developed a business strategy to drive a sustainable growth towards building a strong and lasting relationship with our customers.
  • Panda adopted a customer centric strategy by revisiting and revamping store network through its Customer Experience Revival (CXR) Program

    • Launched CRM system to introduce customers with member pricing.
    • Evolved visual identity to reflect its new customer-centric propositions and maintain brand equity.
    • Today- Panda pursues innovation by enhancing the in-store shopping journey, delighting customers, and enhancing the work environment for Panda employees. Offer new and innovative concepts.
